Seoul, 08 August 2022:

The Embassy of Bangladesh in Seoul observed the 92^nd Birth Anniversary of Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesa Mujib on 08 August 2022. The expatriate Bangladeshis living in the Republic of Korea and the Embassy officials took part in the event.

Ambassador Delwar Hossain, in presence of the expatriate Bangladeshis and the Embassy officials, paid homage to the memory of Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesa Mujib by placing floral wreaths at her portrait. A special prayer was offered for the salvation of the departed soul of Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesa Mujib, including the Father of the Nation, his martyred family members as well as for the peace and prosperity of the country. Then the Embassy officials read out the messages of the Hon’ble President and the Hon’ble Prime Minister. A documentary on the life of Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesa Mujib was also screened during the programme. The discussants highlighted the glorious life and contributions of Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesa Mujib during the discussion session.

Ambassador Delwar Hossain in his speech paid rich tribute to the memory of Bangamata Begum Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib. He mentioned that Bangamata was the constant associate of the Father of the Nation in all the political movements and had always given inspiration, strength and courage to the Father of the Nation in struggles as well as every crisis moment. He called upon all to draw inspiration from the glorious life of Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesa Mujib and contribute to building ‘Sonar Bangla’- as dreamt by our Father of the Nation.
