The Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Moscow, Russian Federation celebrated the historic Homecoming Day and Countdown Ceremony of the commemoration of Birth Centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 10 January 2020 at Bangabandhu Hall of the Embassy with the presence of Embassy officials and staffs.

The program began with the reading out of message of Hon’ble Prime Minister on the occasion. This was followed by screening a short documentary produced by the National Implementation Committee for the celebration of birth centenary of Bangabandhu. After that H.E. Mr. Kamrul Ahsan, Ambassador paid homage to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by recalling some significant events of his life which had profound impact in achieving independence. He talked about the historic Homecoming Day of Bangabandhu and the significance of his leadership afterwards. H. E. Ambassador discussed the insightful initiatives of Bangabandhu after liberation to establish a newly liberated country in the world stage with honour and dignity.

In his concluding remarks, H. E. Ambassador expressed his desire to celebrate the Mujib Year with due solemnity and festivity and thus spread the inspiration of the leadership of Bangabandhu to reach the goal to be an affluent nation under the dynamic leadership of his daughter Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
