Press Release on the USA-DPRK Summit held in Singapore on 12 June 2018
Dhaka, 14 June 2018
Bangladesh welcomes the historic Summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un which has generated momentum to overcome long-drawn tensions. The Joint Statement of the Summit reflected strong commitments of the two leaders to restore peace, stability and security on Korean peninsula.
Bangladesh hopes that all concerned parties will support this peace initiative and facilitate implementation of the outcome of the Summit for the benefit of the region and beyond. Bangladesh will continue to work with the international community to resolve all differences and disputes peacefully through dialogue.
