Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Karachi arranged an interactive session with the consular service-seekers at the Conference Hall of the Chancery on 27 February 2023 on “Ensuring Quality Consular Services”.
Different aspects of consular services were discussed and vital matters related to consular services were discussed and explained. There was a Q&A Session, where the valued service seekers expressed their experiences in receiving services at the Mission. They also expressed their personal views on consular matters and asked different questions on consular matters particularly visa and travel permits issues. Deputy High Commissioner S. M. Mahbubul Alam responded to the queries of the service-seekers. They expressed their deep satisfaction on the quality of services rendered by the Deputy High Commission. They, however, requested for an early views on different applications such as visa and travel permit from Dhaka.
Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Karachi S. M. Mahbubul Alam in his remarks emphasized that rendering smooth, fast and quality consular services is a priority for the Mission. He further emphasized on the transparent, dynamic, quality, and service-friendly consular section in the Mission. As the session was arranged in the Month of February, Deputy High Commissioner categorically mentioned that Bangladesh is proud as 21 February is being celebrated by UNESCO and its member states globally as the “International Mother Language Day”. He further mentioned that Bangladesh, the 35th largest economy is the world, is a ‘Role Model of Socio-Economic Developments’ in the world and Bangladesh has an impressive image in the international arena, which is also a pride as a nation. He emphasized that Bangladesh Deputy High Commission has been working sincerely for the image building of Bangladesh through public diplomacy vis-à-vis rendering quality consular services with honesty, dignity, and utmost professionalism.
Deputy High Commissioner S. M. Mahbubul Alam mentioned that the Mission in Karachi has been working very hard to brand Bangladesh in Pakistan. He expressed his optimism that a professional and quality consular services could also contribute to create better impression among the service seekers including the expatriate Bangladesh nationals and the foreign nationals including investors, industrialists, businesspersons, importers, entrepreneurs, and other dignitaries from Pakistan. Deputy High Commissioner assured the service-seekers of all possible cooperation with a fast and professional manner from the Mission.
