Karachi, 10 May 2023:

Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Karachi arranged a meeting at the Chancery on 10 May 2023 titled: “Improvement of Consular Services”. Around 50 persons including the Mission officials and expatriate Bangladeshis in Pakistan participated in the meeting.

 Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Karachi S. M. Mahbubul Alam discussed different aspects of consular services at the Mission. The consular service seekers also expressed their views regarding consular services by the Mission. The sending of remittances to Bangladesh through legal channels was also focused in the meeting. The modes and importance of sending remittances in legal channels were explained.

Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Karachi S. M. Mahbubul Alam also highlighted various aspects of image building of Bangladesh abroad and explained the role of the expatriates in image building. He also highlighted various development initiative and progress of Bangladesh. Deputy High Commissioner emphasized that rendering smooth, fast and quality consular services is a priority task of the Mission. He attached importance on the transparent, dynamic, quality, and service-friendly consular activities in the Mission. Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Karachi has been working hard for the image building of Bangladesh through public diplomacy vis-à-vis rendering quality consular services with honesty, dignity, and utmost professionalism. The service-seekers expressed their views on consular services and their sincere satisfaction on the quality of services by the Bangladesh Mission in Karachi.
