Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait observedAnchor “103rd Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh MujiburRahman and National Children’s Day-2023” at the Chancery on Friday, 17 March 2023 with due fervor and festivity. Presided over by Mr. Mohammed AbulHossain, Minister (Labour) and Chargé d'affaires, Embassy officials, members of the community and representatives of the Print and electronic media were presentatthe program.
The program was started at 08:30 hrs at the Embassy premises with the hoisting of the National Flag ceremoniously by Mr. Mohammed AbulHossain, Minister (Labour) and Chargé d'affairesin presence of Embassy officials, members of Bangladesh Community and representatives of the print and electronic media. Later on Chargé d'affairesalong with other officers of the Embassy placed floral wreath before the portrait of the Father of the NationBangabandhu Sheikh MujiburRahman.Special Dua and Munajat were offered for the salvation of the soul of the Father of the Nation, the members of his family and prayed for the continued progress of the country.Chargé d'affairescut a decorated cake prepared specially to celebrate this occasion with other Embassy Officers and officials and community members.
Thediscussion session of the program was started with the recitation form the Holy Quran. The messages given by the Hon’ble President and the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Hon’ble Foreign Minister and Hon’ble State Minister for Foreign Affairsof Bangladesh were read out by the high officials of the Embassy. During the program, a short video documentary on the life of the Father of the Nation was displayed. Later, leaders and members of the Bangladesh community and various socio-cultural organizationsdelivered their valuable speech and highlighted the significance of the day. In their speeches, they paid highest tribute to the Father of the NationBangabandhu Sheikh MujiburRahman.
Mr. Mohammed AbulHossain, Minister (Labour) and Chargé d'affaires in his closing remarkspaid deep homage tothe Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh MujiburRahman and his family members, martyred on 15 August 1975. He also paid tribute to three million martyrs, two hundred thousand women, and all the freedom fighters for their extraordinary contributions and great sacrifices during the Liberation War in 1971. He highlighted the political life of the Father of the Nation including his great contribution in our Great Liberation War. On the National Children’s Day he called upon all the parents to bring up the children, the future leaders of the country, on the ideals of Bangabandhu. He also highlighted the development of Bangladesh under the charismatic leadership of the Hon’blePrime Minister H.E. Sheikh Hasina.
Chargé d'affairesurged upon the expatriate community to work together with utmost sincerity and integrity to improve the image of the country.He also thanked all the people who were present at the discussion session.Finally refreshments were arranged for all the guests.
Later, in the afternoon a drawing competition was organized with the participation of Bangladeshi children living in Kuwait as a part of the celebration of “103rd Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh MujiburRahman and National Children’s Day-2023”. Divided into four groups, children participated in the competition at the Bangabandhu Corner of the Chancery building. Prizes and certificates of participation were awarded to all participants. Crests were also awarded to three winners from each group. Mr. Mohammed AbulHossain, Minister (Labour) and Chargé d'affairesattended and enjoyed the competition and gave prizes to all.Finally refreshments were arranged for all participants.
