Tashkent 21 February, 2021:
Bangladesh Embassy built New ShahidMinar at Chancery Premises and observed Martyr`s Day and International Mother Language Day with due solemnity and respect to the sacrificed souls for mother tongue.
National flag was hoisted at half-mast to mark the occasion.
In the beginning of the occasion one minute`s silence was observed in memory of language martyrs. H.E. MdZahanagirAlam read out the messages of Hon`ble President and Hon`ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh. On the other hand, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission Mr. Nripendra Chandra Debnath read out the messages of Foreign Minister and State Minister of Bangladesh.
Among others, Indian High Commissioner H.E. Mr. Manish Prabhat, UNODC regional Coordinator H.E. Ms. Ashita Mittal, representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of different Embassies, Bengali Community, Vice Rector and students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, professors and students of different Universities and International Schools, former diplomats, scientists, linguists, journalists from print and electronic media were present.
Award winner of International Mother Language Dr. GulomIsmailovMirzaevich participated in Embassy`s program and delivered speech.
12 poems in different languages were recited by the participants of different nationalities to this end.
