On 12 July 2023, Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Karachi arranged an interactive meeting titled ““Improvement of the Quality of Consular and Welfare Services”. Around 45 persons were present at the session arranged at the Conference Hall of the Chancery.

Different aspects of consular and welfare services were discussed and vital matters related to consular services were explained in details. There was a Q&A Session, where the valued service seekers expressed their experiences in receiving services at the Mission. They also expressed their personal views on consular matters and asked different questions regarding visa and travel permits issues. They expressed their deep satisfaction on the quality of services rendered by the Deputy High Commission. They, however, requested for an early decisions on different applications such as visa and travel permit from Dhaka.

Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Karachi S. M. Mahbubul Alam in his remarks emphasized that rendering smooth, fast and quality consular services is a priority for the Mission. He further emphasized on the transparent, dynamic, and service-friendly consular section in the Mission and assured everyone for all possible supports and services from the Mission.

Apart from consular services and welfare matters, the Deputy High Commissioner also took the opportunity to highlight on the socio-economic progress of Bangladesh. He mentioned that Bangladesh, the 35^th largest economy is the world,  is a ‘Role Model of Socio-Economic Developments’ in the world and Bangladesh has an impressive image in the international arena, which is also a pride as a nation. He added that Bangladesh Deputy High Commission has been working hard for the image building of Bangladesh through branding Bangladesh initiatives, public diplomacy vis-à-vis rendering quality consular and welfare services with honesty, dignity, and utmost professionalism.
