Karachi, 20 October 2022:

Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner in Karachi, S. M. Mahbubul Alam attended as the Guest of Honour at an event on ease of business and customs clearance issues arranged by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FPCCI). President of the FPCCI Mr. Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Director General of Pakistan Customs Mr. Wajid Ali and representatives of UNDP Pakistan, Consuls General of different countries, and prominent businesspersons from different chambers including the Karachi Chambers of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) were present at the program held at the FPCCI Headquarters.  

At the event Deputy High Commissioner S. M. Mahbubul Alam highlighted different aspects of trade, commerce and investment in Bangladesh. He briefed on the potential and ease of business in Bangladesh. He invited the potential business groups in Pakistan for more import of goods and products from Bangladesh. Highlighting the exclusive facilities and incentives Bangladesh offers for foreign investment, he further invited the potential investors and entrepreneurs from Pakistan to invest in Bangladesh.

The industrialists, investors, and businesspersons who already have trade and business relations with Bangladesh were very positive in their experiences of business in Bangladesh. On the other hand, many potentials industrialists, investors, and businesspersons who wishes to have their trade and business in Bangladesh had shown their keen interests to know more about the scopes of business in Bangladesh. Deputy High Commissioner S. M. Mahbubul Alam assured them of all possible cooperation from the Bangladesh Mission in Karachi.
