Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait Celebrates Victory Day-2022

Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait celebrates the Great Victory Day on 16 December 2022 at the Embassy of Bangladesh with due fervor and festivity. Presided over by H.E. Major General Md Ashikuzzaman, ndc,afwc,psc,G, Ambassador of Bangladesh in Kuwait, Embassy officials, members of the Bangladesh community and representatives of the print and electronic media were present at the program.

 

 In the morning, to mark this auspicious day, His Excellency Major General Md Ashikuzzaman, ndc,afwc,psc,G, Ambassador of Bangladesh in Kuwait hoisted the National Flag ceremoniously in the presence of Embassy officials and members of the community in Kuwait including freedom fighters of Bangladesh and media representatives. Later on, H.E. the Ambassador along with Embassy Official & Bangladesh Community placed floral wreath at the portrait of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Bangabandhu Corner of the embassy and special prayers were offered seeking divine blessings for the souls of all martyrs along with Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and prosperity of the country and nation.

 

Later on, a discussion program was held on the occasion of the Victory Day 2022. The discussion program began with recitation from the Holy Quran. The messages given by the Hon'ble President, Hon’ble Prime Minister, Hon'ble Foreign Minister and Hon’ble State Minister for Foreign Affairs were read out by the officers of the Embassy. After that, a documentary video on Victory Day were screened. The discussion session took place in a very lively atmosphere. Expatriate community leaders, professionals, freedom fighters, leaders of cultural and volunteer organizations took part in the discussion. In their speeches, they highlight the significance of the day. They also recall the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, four national leaders and all martyrs with deepest respect.

 

His Excellency Major Gerneral Md Ashikuzzaman, ndc,afwc,psc,G in his concluding speech recall with deep respect, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Muibur Rahman, other martyrs of the 15 August 1975, three million martyrs, two hundred thousand women, and all the freedom fighters for their extraordinary contributions and great sacrifices during the Liberation War in 1971. He also urged all to follow the ideals of Bangabandhu sincerely and work unitedly under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to establish happy and prosperous Bangladesh as dreamt by Bangabandhu.

 

He also thanked all the people who were present at the discussion session and asked Bangladesh nationals in Kuwait to abide by the rules and regulations of the State of Kuwait and encouraged them to send the remittance following legal procedures. He also emphasized to guard against any propaganda or misleading information against the country. Finally refreshments were arranged for all the guests.
