The Embassy of Bangladesh in Seoul participated in the Seoul Friendship Festival-2022

 

Seoul, 24 October 2022:

 

The Embassy of Bangladesh in Seoul participated in the Seoul Friendship Festival (SFF) held at the City Hall, Seoul on 22-23 October 2022 organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. A total of 47 Embassies including the Embassy of Bangladesh participated in the festival.

 

On 22 October 2022, Vice-Mayor of the Seoul City Mr. Kim Eui Seung inaugurated the Festival with the presence of Korean dignitaries and Ambassadors and representatives from the participating countries. Ambassador Delwar Hossain, Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Republic of Korea was present at the opening ceremony.

 

At the festival, three booths were dedicated to the Embassy of Bangladesh for the display of traditional handicrafts, food and costumes. At the craft stall, various kinds of Bangladeshi handicraft products were displayed to highlight the heritage and culture of Bangladesh. Mehndi painting also pulled a huge crowd into the stall. At the food stall, Bangladeshi traditional and delicious food items were displayed and served. The foreigners and the Koreans showed a keen interest in Bangladeshi food. At the ‘World Costume Display’ booth, Bangladeshi traditional costumes were displayed. Bangladesh also took part in the cultural part of the festival. The cultural performances performed by the Bangladeshi performers at the cultural were lauded by the audience.  

 

Seoul Friendship Festival was an ideal opportunity to showcase and promote the rich cultural heritage of Bangladesh among the Koreans and foreigners living in the Republic of Korea. Bangladesh Embassy’s successful participation in the festival is expected to further increase the cultural exchanges and people-to-people contact between the two friendly nations.
