Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner in Karachi, S. M. Mahbubul Alam had eight twelve (12) separate business meetings and interactions during 01-10 May 2023 with more than twenty (20) eminent dignitaries, investors and businessmen.

Deputy High Commissioner S. M. Mahbubul Alam had separate meetings and interactions among other with Mr. Syed Waqar Mehdi, Senator, Senate of Pakistan, Mr. Syed Rayhan Ahmed, Director, Innovative Water Technology & Solutions Ltd, Mr. Takanori Sugimoto, Technical Advisor & Mr. Kentaro Aoki, Director (Factory) of YKK Pakistan Ltd, Mr. Shoaib Majid, Managing Director, MEKOTEX Ltd. and other businesspersons and investors in Pakistan.

During the meetings the Deputy High Commissioner S. M. Mahbubul highlighted that Bangladesh has become a ‘Role Model’ of socio-economic development in the world. He depicted various development initiatives by the Government of Bangladesh. He further briefed that Bangladesh is currently one of the five fastest growing economies in the world and Bangladesh currently ranks the 35^th largest economy in the world in terms of GDP. He briefed on the foreign investment and business friendly policies of Bangladesh. He added that Bangladesh has been working hard to establish 100 Specialized Economic Zones (SEZs) across the country with foreign investment friendly policies. He invited the potential investors, industrialist, entrepreneurs and businesspersons from Pakistan to invest in Bangladesh. He also invited the businessmen to import products from Bangladesh.

The dignitaries and eminent businesspersons were deeply impressed with the success and positive stories of Bangladesh. They highly appreciated the commendable and remarkable socio-economic developments in Bangladesh. They also expressed their willingness for wider trade and economic interactions with Bangladesh. They attached importance for exchange of business delegations between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
