Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner in Karachi, S. M. Mahbubul Alam had at least seven separate business meetings during 01-10 November 2023 with more than twelve eminent entrepreneurs, investors, international businessmen including Bankers in Pakistan.

Deputy High Commissioner highlighted the businesspersons and entrepreneurs on the socio-economic development of Bangladesh. He heighted on the mega development projects, achievement on the Vision-2021, the Vision-2031 and Vision-2041, and Delta Plan-2100.

Deputy High Commissioner focused that Bangladesh has become a ‘Role Model’ of socio-economic development in the world and briefed that Bangladesh is currently one of the five fastest growing economies in the world. Bangladesh currently ranks the 35^th largest economy in the world in terms of GDP, he added. Bangladesh has been striving to establish 100 Specialized Economic Zones (SEZs) across the country with foreign investment friendly policies. Highlighting the recent outstanding development of infrastructure in communication, the Deputy High Commissioner invited the potential investors, industrialist, entrepreneurs and businesspersons from Pakistan to invest in Bangladesh and to import products from Bangladesh.

The businesspersons were deeply impressed with the success stories of Bangladesh and expressed their willingness to deepen economic and trade relationships with Bangladesh.
