A befitting closing ceremony was organised by the Embassy of Bangladesh in Manama, Bahrain to mark the conclusion of the week-long “Glimpses of Bangladesh” photography exhibition in Manama

 

Manama, 02 June 2022:

 

On Wednesday, 01 June 2022 at 8:00 pm local time, the Embassy of Bangladesh in Manama, Bahrain organised a closing ceremony to conclude the week-long photography exhibition titled “Glimpses of Bangladesh” organised by the Embassy on Thursday, 26 May 2022 in association with the ‘Colours of the East’ art gallery in Seef Mall, Manama. The ceremony was attended by Ambassador of Bangladesh to Bahrain, Dr. Md. NazrulIslam along with invited foreign diplomats, senior officials from the Bahrain government, writers, tour operators, artists, journalists, businessmen and women, students and teachers from Bangladesh School Bahrain, Embassy officials, and members of the Bangladeshi expatriates’community in Bahrain.

 

The ceremony featured a short cultural program organised by the Embassy where students from Bangladesh School Bahrain performed in two captivating dance shows that were well-choreographed to go along with two national songs related to the Bangla New Year and a Bangla folk song respectively, which were thoroughly enjoyed by the distinguished guests. Ambassador Dr. Islam toured the photography exhibition one last time with the distinguished guests shortly after the cultural program, and once again everyone was enamoured to witness the raw and unique natural beauty, culture and heritage of Bangladesh thanks to the beautifully captured photographs. Many even expressed their strong desire to visit Bangladesh at the earliest opportunity.

 

As the ceremony came to a conclusion, the Ambassadorexpressed his deepest gratitude to Mr. Mustafiz Mamun and Mr. Abdul Momin whose incredible work beautifully captured the essence of Bangladesh with photographs of its growth, culture, agriculture, economy, education, health, women's empowerment, food security and of course, its amazing natural beauty. Finally, the Ambassador thanked all the distinguished guests for coming and also thankedthe students and teachers from Bangladesh School Bahrain for their excellent performance.
