Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner in Karachi, S. M. Mahbubul Alam had exchanged Eid Greetings with the Chief Minister of Sindh Province of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Murad Ali Shah at the Chief Minister House on the 3^rd Day of Eid-ul Fitre in Karachi.

Chief Minister of Sindh Province of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Murad Ali Shah very warmly received the Deputy High Commissioner at the Chief Minister House. Few Special Assistant to the Chief Minister (State Minister Status), Chief Secretary of Sindh, Commissioner Karachi, Senior officials of the Chief Minister’s Office were present and warmly welcomed the Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh on arrival at the Chief Minister House. Diplomats (Consuls General and Deputy High Commissioners) of 25 countries including Turkey, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Germany, France, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, China, Japan, South Korea, Oman, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, and Kuwait among others were present and exchanged Eid Greetings.

Deputy High Commissioner extended Eid greetings to the Chief Minister Sindh H.E. Mr. Murad Ali Shah. He also extended Eid Greetings to the people of Sindh. Deputy High Commissioner expressed his profound thanks and gratitude for the greetings and honor they extended to him and conveyed to the Chief Minister the greeting of the Government of Bangladesh.  

Deputy High Commissioner S. M. Mahbubul Alam said during the exchange of views that Bangladesh is Muslim majority secular democratic country. Everyone in Bangladesh exercises the freedom of practicing religions and celebrating the festivals including the religious ones. People of all strata of the society participate in the joyous festivals of the people of other religions. He further mentioned that Bangladesh observe public holidays on all the major religious festivals such as the Eid for the Muslims, Durga Puja for the Hindus, Buddha Purnima for the Buddhists and the Christmas for the Christians. Deputy High Commissioner mentioned that the people of Bangladesh are peace-loving and Bangladesh is a land of communal harmony.

Chief Minister of Sindh Province of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Murad Ali Shah highly appreciated the impressive socio-economic development in Bangladesh.
