Bangladesh expresses its grave concern at the launching by Democratic People’s Republic of Korea of the second long-range ballistic missile within the span of a month.

By launching of the missile, DPRK, has shown total disregard to the international community and has violated its obligations under the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

As a signatory to the NPT and CTBT, Bangladesh would continue to work with the International Community for the renunciation of the use of force in international relations and for general and complete disarmament.

Bangladesh urges DPRK to fulfill its international obligations especially under the United Nations for promoting collective peace and security. Bangladesh calls upon DPRK to refrain from any action that could impact adversely the peace and stability in the region and beyond.
