Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov congratulates Foreign Minister Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen

Dhaka, 10 January 2019

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has congratulated Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen today on his appointment as the Foreign Minister.

While congratulating the new Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, Mr. Lavrov has stated that Bangladesh and Russia have similar approaches to regional and global agenda and are bound by friendship and partnership. He has expressed hope that the constructive cooperation between the two Foreign Ministries will continue in the days ahead for the benefit of strengthening of bilateral cooperation, securing peace and stability in South Asia and beyond.
