Eight Bangladeshi migrant workers died in Saudi Arabia Road accident

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is deeply saddened to receive the unfortunate news of death of eight Bangladeshi migrant workers and the injury of eighteen others in a tragic bus accident in the Abha district of Asir Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The bus was carrying a total of forty-seven pilgrims to the holy city of Makkah, among which thirty-five were Bangladeshi nationals. 
 
Two officers of the Bangladesh Consulate General, Jeddah visited the area immediately after the incident and are trying to identify the victims and contact their family members in Bangladesh. So far 8 (eight) are identified as Bangladeshis, among the dead. 
 
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs extends its heartfelt condolences to the relatives of those who have lost their lives in this tragic accident and remains connected with the wounded and hospitalised and is working for the early repatriation of the dead.
