The newly appointed Nepalese Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr. Chop LalBhushalpaid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Abul Hassan MahmoodAli, MP at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.

Welcoming the new Nepalese envoy to Dhaka, Foreign Minister Ali expressed hope that the Ambassador would make sustained and sincere efforts to further strengthening the existing friendly and cordial relations between Bangladesh and Nepal.

The Ambassador briefed the Foreign Minister about the recent political developments in Nepal. During the discussion, they stressed on deepening bilateral cooperation between Bangladesh and Nepal in the areas of trade and investment, connectivity, agriculture, power sector cooperation, people-to-people contact, etc. Besides, they also discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Foreign Minister Mahmood Ali assured the Nepalese envoy of fullest cooperation in discharging the duties during his tenure in Bangladesh.
