Foreign Minister Dr. Momen meets Indian Foreign Minister, holds bilateral meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Brazil, Mexico, Slovenia and Sweden during G20 FMM

Dr. A K. Abdul Momen, Foreign Minister of Bangladesh met India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar in New Delhi today. He congratulated Jaishankar on the successful completion of the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. Both the Ministers expressed satisfaction at the existing bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed various issues of bilateral interest.
This morning, Dr. Momen also held bilateral meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Brazil, Mexico, Slovenia and Sweden. During the meetings, they discussed the issues of mutual interest in order to deepening bilateral cooperation. They also exchanged views on the ongoing geopolitical issues and enhancing multilateral cooperation, including in the UN. The Foreign Minister of Mexico told that Mexico would open their Diplomatic Mission in Dhaka soon.
Bangladesh Foreign Minister briefed his counterparts about Bangladesh’s remarkable achievements in the socio-economic sphere under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He sought active support from those countries in addressing the Rohingya crisis, including through their early repatriation from Bangladesh to Myanmar.
Bangladesh Foreign Minister is expected to leave New Delhi this evening.
