Sushma Swaraj congratulates Bangladesh Foreign Minister

Dhaka, 2 January 2019:

Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj called Bangladesh Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali yesterday to congratulate him on his election victory in the 11th National Parliament Election.

She stated that the Government of India would continue to cooperation with Bangladesh as a close neighbor. She hoped to work together with Foreign Minister Mahmood Ali in future. It may be mentioned that both the Ministers co-chair the Joint Consultative Commission (JCC) to coordinate sectoral collaboration between the two countries.

Foreign Minister Mahmood Ali thanked Indian External Affairs Minister for the call. He expressed the hope that both the countries would continue to work together for the benefit of the two peoples.
