Bhutan has congratulated the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh for the landslide victory in the 12^thNational Parliament Elections of Bangladesh.

His Majesty the 4^thKing of Bhutan Jigme Singye Wangchuck sent a letter of congratulations to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina mentioning that under the dynamic and strong leadership of the Prime Minister, Bangladesh has enjoyed peace, stability and unprecedented economic development and Bhutan as a close friend, rejoices with the people of Bangladesh, on this occasion.

In the congratulatory letter, the 4^th King of Bhutan also expressed his confidence that the close and special relations between Bhutan and Bangladesh will further be strengthened.   

It may be mentioned that His Majesty the 4^thKing of Bhutan Jigme Singye Wangchuck handed over the letter of congratulations through the Ambassador of Bangladesh in Bhutan Shib Nath Roy.
