Economic Diplomacy: Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner in Karachi meets with Eminent Industrialists, Entrepreneurs, Investors, and Businesspersons in Pakistan

Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner in Karachi, S. M. Mahbubul Alam had twelve (12) separate business meetings and interactions at the Chancery during 01-07 June 2023 with more than twenty (20) eminent dignitaries, investors, bankers, and businessmen.

 

Deputy High Commissioner S. M. Mahbubul Alam had separate meetings and interactions among others with Mr. Hamza Tabani, Chief Executive Officer, Tabani Group, Mr. Harris Siddique, Executive Director, Indigo Textiles Ltd, Mr. Waqar Mahmood, Director Export & Finance, Capri Corn Minerals Ltd, Mr. Mati Un Zia, Regional Head (Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka & Nepal), The Children’s Place of the USA, Mr. Riaz Hussain, Executive Vice President, International Financial Institution & Remittance Group, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), and Mr. Habib Yousuf, Regional Head, (Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka & Nepal), British International Investment (BII), UK.

 

During the meetings the Deputy High Commissioner S. M. Mahbubul highlighted that Bangladesh has become a ‘Role Model’ of socio-economic development in the world. He depicted various development initiatives by the Government of Bangladesh. He further briefed that Bangladesh is currently one of the five fastest growing economies in the world and Bangladesh currently ranks the 35th largest economy in the world in terms of GDP. He briefed on the foreign investment and business friendly policies of Bangladesh. He added that Bangladesh has been working hard to establish 100 Specialized Economic Zones (SEZs) across the country with foreign investment friendly policies. He invited the potential investors, industrialist, entrepreneurs and businesspersons from Pakistan to invest in Bangladesh. He also invited the businessmen and investors to invest in Bangladesh and to import products from Bangladesh.

 

The dignitaries and eminent businesspersons and investors and bankers were deeply impressed with the success and positive stories of Bangladesh. They highly appreciated the commendable and remarkable socio-economic developments in Bangladesh. They, who have already business and investment in Bangladesh, also expressed their satisfaction for their business and investment in Bangladesh. Other businesspersons and investors are willing for trade and economic interactions with Bangladesh.
