• M/O Foreign Affairs, along with relevant Ministries, have been working with friendly countries - China, India, to get COVID-19 related support like PPE, testing kits, other relevant materials etc.
 
• Issuing travel advisories for foreign countries/nationals in coordination with concerned Ministries and Authorities.
 
• Through the National Task Force (NTF), M/O Foreign Affairs is working to ensure that the Rohingya camps are safe from COVID-19. A meeting of NTF took place on 22nd March 2020, chaired by the Foreign Secretary.
 
• M/O Foreign Affairs is closely working with Ministry of Health to identify Testing Centre of COVID-19 and the hospitals where the Dhaka based Diplomats can be treated in case they become infected.
 
• M/O Foreign Affairs is coordinating with Ministry of Health about SAARC COVID-19 funds.
 
• M/O Foreign Affairs has also issued Health Advisory for its own staff members in Dhaka.
 

Ministry of Foreign Affairs donates 10, 000 Masks to Armed Forces Division for Distribution among Poor and Destitute People.

mail Foreign Ministry organizes Interministerial meeting on issues arising from COBID-19 Pandemic
 
Foreign minister Dr A K Abdul Momen presided over the meeting on 15 April 2020 with participation of expatriate welfare and overseas employment minister M Imran Ahmed, state minister for foreign affairs Md Shahriar Alam, principal staff officer of Armed Forces Division (AFD), secretaries to the relevant ministries and Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) Chairman were present at the meeting.
 
During the meeting, a range of issues relating to repatriation, nationality verification, quarantine, relief for the expatriates, coordination among departments concerned, sending medicines and medical equipment to friendly countries, post repatriation preparedness were discussed elaborately.
